Every year for the past several years I have worked with a few friends to fill Christmas stockings for the families served by the local food bank. It is an honor to help those children. Because of this I visited the dollar store today to see what I could find and I found backpacks instead. Really! A backpack at the dollar store? They are small and not great quality but they are perfect for a toddler kit. They will hold a small toy, granola bar, ID, water, and even a shirt and undies. They could also be sued to corral small items in a car kit like TP, pocket knife, first aid kit, gloves, etc. They could be used to keep important documents together.
