2023 Preparedness - Wednesday Wisdom: Week 51

December 20, 2023

As we end the year and look forward to 2024, we have lived through a difficult year. There have been disasters designated as once in a lifetime, hottest temperatures in recorded history, extreme flooding, the loss of a century-old city in Hawaii, huge price increases, war in Ukraine and Israel, over 100,000 fentanyl deaths, and more. Looking forward we do not see things getting easier. What are you doing to prepare so you will be temporally and emotionally prepared?

As you consider future challenges how can we help? Each year we ask you for your ideas for the next year. Do you need help with food storage, kits, equipment, using things you already have in unusual ways during a disaster, evacuating, cooking and rotating food storage, preparing in small spaces, on a budget….the list can go on and on. Would you like a monthly calendar with tasks? Let us know your thoughts.

Just keep doing what you are doing. I have learned so much in the past 3 years.
